DESCRIPTION:Our programme ‘A Night at the Cinema’ brings you some of th
 e very best\, orchestral film music which will transport you from the conc
 ert hall through time and place.\n\nJohn Williams and Hans Zimmer are amon
 gst the most famous composers of film music. Their music amplifies the dra
 ma and helps drive a story. Come and listen to ‘Hedwig’s theme’ and 
 ‘Harry’s Wondrous World’ amongst the stunning music that Williams wr
 ote for the Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone. Then make sure you ar
 e safely seated as we enter Jurassic Park. Zimmer’s music for the Pirate
 s of the Caribbean films is a swashbuckling\, orchestral masterpiece.\n\nE
 xperience an emotional contrast with Anne Dudley’s Cornish folk-inspired
  Poldark Suite and the Max Richter’s meditative On the Nature of Dayligh
 t which was recently used in the film Hamnet. \n\nThese contemporary film 
 scores owe a great deal to trailblazers from an earlier era in British fil
 mmaking and so we feature two of these ‘period’ film scores. William W
 alton’s Suite from Henry V portrays the pomp\, intrigue and tragedy of t
 he English Tudor court. Doreen Carwithen’s Suffolk Suite develops musica
 l material originally written for the film East Anglian Holiday\, a nostal
 gic travelogue produced by British Transport Films in 1954.\n\nFeel free t
